Chain of Spring Love

“Uhuru, my dear, can you smell the scent of the perfume you sent me with the last package?” “Not exactly,” he answered cheerfully. “Perhaps, do get closer to the phone.”
They laughed at their playfulness, as they indulged in the sheer delight of their flirtatiousness. She had so many things on her mind that she wanted to share with Uhuru, but there was simply not enough time to recount all the events of the past month. ... she found herself saying, “Isn’t it so terrific to hear your voice?”
“Thrilled to hear your heartbeat, my darling Mapenzi.”
